Jerusalem, 28 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — With an investment of billions of shekels, a roof agreement was signed yesterday (Tuesday) for Safed, known as the capital of the Galilee, which Israel’s Ministry of Construction and Housing said is set to “significantly upgrade the old city and double its size.”
According to the signed agreement, 7,294 new housing units will be built as part of a large-scale development plan, alongside approximately 63,000 square meters of commercial and employment space that will provide jobs for hundreds of residents.
